The marriage of a police chief to a 17-year old girl has sparked outrage in Russia.
Reports emerged that Miss Luiza Goylabiyeva was being forced to marry 47-year-old Nazhud Guchigov as his second wife.
A report which has later been confirmed.
The villagers said that Miss Goylabiyeva was marrying against her will because her parents had been given an ultimatum to hand her over for marriage, or she would be taken by force.
Nazhud Guchigov has denied accusations that he forced the family of Luiza Goylabiyeva to allow him to marry her at a ceremony on Saturday.
But photographs being circulated on various online platforms of the wedding ceremony shows the contrary.
Although she looked stunning in her gown, Miss Goylabiyeva wept throughout the ceremony
She was asked three times if she wanted to marry the police chief before reluctantly responding “yes”.
