Heart of Lions avenged their Match day 15 defeat to Asante Kotoko after they defeated the defending champions 3-1 in the opening match of the second round of the 2014/15 First Capital Plus Premier League season.
Osman Muntaka scored the opening goal for Lions on the 26th minute mark in the match played at the Kpando Stadium on Sunday afternoon before Isaac Quansah and Prince Acquah added the second and third goals in the second half of the game.
Kotoko however pulled one back minutes after full time as striker Ahmed Toure converted from the spot to end the game at 3-1 in favour of the home side.

Lions have now leapfrogged over Kotoko and are now 7th on the League table while Kotoko have slipped to 9th on the log.
The second round of the season continues next weekend though both teams will be in action on Wednesday in the Elite Clubs Cup competition.
