Luis Enrique has committed his future to the Catalan giants by an extra season after leading them to an astonishing treble of Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League in 2014/15.
It came six years after Enrique's former Barcelona team-mate Pep Guardiola had led Barca to a historic quadruple in 2009. “We are naturally very happy. After the wonderful year we’ve had, with difficulties but a very happy ending, we are more than thrilled about the hope of winning more titles," said Enrique.
"Everything that we have ahead of us in more than exciting.”
Barcelona confirmed their delight with Enrique while the former Barca player had said that he was happy to commit his future to the club in the aftermath of the victory over Juventus.

Enrique won Liga and the Copa del Rey twice as a player with Barcelona after arriving from Real Madrid in 1996.
He began work as a coach at Barcelona in 2008 overseeing the club's B team before moving to Italy to manage Roma three years ago.
He succeeded Gerardo Martino as Barcelona coach last summer afternoon after coaching Celta Vigo to ninth place in the Liga standings last year including a 2-0 win over Real Madrid.
Much of his success in his first season at Barcelona coach arrived from a forward line of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar that plundered an astonishing 122 goals and 55 in a glorious season.
It helped Enrique through a sticky spell after Barca lost 3-1 at Real Madrid in late October to place doubts over his position.
