Red Bull Soccer Academy last Saturday completed preparations for the 2009/10 National Division One League with a one all drawn game with former Premier League campaigners, Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs at Sogakope in the Volta Region.
The match, which was organized to sharpen the rough edges of the team ahead of the League, was a highly competitive one despite its friendly nature.
Both sides approached the game with maximum seriousness and created series of clear cut chances that could have produced a winner at the end of the game but over elaboration and anxiety denied them of any goals.
Red Bull had a first bite of the sherry in the 56th minute through Richard Arhin when he expertly converted a penalty rewarded them.
The more experienced Dwarfs side took up the challenge and secured the equalizer in the 66th minute through Isaac Obeng.
Both sides then struggled for the match winner but their efforts were fruitless as they wasted several scoring chances that came their way.
Herman Kern, General Manager of Red Bull Academy expressed satisfaction with the score line and the performance of the team.
He said that the technical team will put finishing touches to the playing body for the task ahead.
Mr Kern was confident that his team will give off their best in the competition which starts on Sunday.
