Standard Chartered Bank has announced the appointment of Mr. Felix Addo, as Independent Non-Executive Director to the Board of the Bank effective 6th August, 2015.
Mr. Addo recently retired from Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) as one of its senior country partners.
Felix E Addo is the immediate past Country Senior Partner and a former member of the PwC Africa Governance Board.
Felix has many years of practice and consulting experience in corporate finance and recovery, financial and forensic auditing, organisational restructuring and performance improvement in both developed and developing economies.
Mr Addo has worked on a number of im- portant projects including the privatisation of Ashanti Gold Fields Limited and Ghana Commercial Bank, and served as the transaction advisor to the Government of Ghana on the acquisition of VALCO.
He was the Transaction Advisor for the Ghana Government on several (PPP) projects including the Boankara Inland Port and the Eastern Railway Line, the new National airline project, the Accra Ku- masi Toll Road and the Rehabilitation of the Ghana Trade Fair.
Felix serves on various Board and Committees: He was a member of the KOSMOS Advisory Council. The Ghana American Chamber of Com merce (Director), Ghana Association of Restructuring and In- solvency Advisors (President), AIESEC Ghana (Chairman) and a member of the Advisory Council of the University of Ghana, College of Education.
He is also a member of the Committee of Experts which was set up to review the Ghana Company’s Act and the Bodies Corporate Insolvency Act (Both Acts are currently under various stages of review by the Cabinet and Parliament)
Felix holds a BSc (Administration) from the University of Ghana and an MA (Professional Account- ing) from Loyola College, Maryland (USA). Felix has professional memberships in the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana; Institute of Chartered Accountants, Sierra Leone, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, USA. Felix is a regular presenter and participant in various thought leadership (TL) activities.
