Mr. Philip Kofi Ntiamoah, Brong-Ahafo Regional Chairman of Ghana Hotels Association has advised hoteliers to be extra vigilant and cautious in their operations as the nation's celebrates its 50th independence anniversary as well as hosts the CAN 2008 football tournament.
Mr. Ntiamoah, who is the director of Tano Lodge, in Techiman, said this in a New Year message to hoteliers.
He said hotels would be hosting many tourists during the two events and it was their duty to help ensure that persons of dubious character were exposed and brought to the attention of the security agencies. The regional chairman noted that great challenges faced hoteliers and they needed to exhibit a high sense of commitment, responsibility and diplomacy when handling tourists who would check in their hotels. Mr. Ntiamoah called on the hoteliers to ensure the protection of visitors against violence and robbery so they would carry back good impressions about Ghana.
