The Christian Council of Ghana (CCG) has recommended the involvement of civil society groups and religious leaders in raising security alert amidst recent terror threats in some parts of the African continent.
The General Secretary of the Council, Rev. Dr Opuni Frimpong in an interview with Joy News said a better result was achieved when other organisations aside the health sector, were involved in creating awareness about the Ebola during the outbreak of the virus.
His call follows a warning by popular Nigerian Prophet, T.B Joshua that there is an imminent terrorist attack on Ghana and Nigeria.
The Nigerian pastor asked members of his Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) on Sunday to pray against a planned ‘foreign attack’ on Ghana and Nigeria.
But Rev. Opuni Frimpong believes that Ghana’s security agencies are not doing enough to avert a possible terrorist attack.
