In order to provide limitless internet access to all its subscribers wishing to enjoy unhindered, fast connectivity throughout the night and on weekends at the lowest rate possible, Glo Mobile Ghana has introduced the Weekend Browsing and Night Browsing packs.
A subscriber only needs to pay GHc 1 to enjoy 500MB night browsing each day from 11pm to 6am. To enjoy this package daily, the customer has to buy the bundle before 11pm, by dialing *127*20# or send 114 as SMS to 127. Subscribers can check their data usage by dialing *127#.
The Weekend Browsing pack requires subscribers to pay only GHc 8 to enjoy 3GB of data between 11pm on Friday and 6:00am on Monday. The user will also enjoy the benefit from 11pm till 6:00am on weekdays. The pack is valid for seven days.
To subscribe, the customer needs to dial *127*21# or send 141 as SMS to 127. Subscribers may check their data usage by dialing *127#.
Both plans work on various devices, ranging from Android Smartphones, iPhone/iPad, Laptops, Windows phone, Symbian/Java phones etc.
Explaining the rationale behind these new data offers, the Glo Mobile Head of Business, Mr Augustine Mamuro said the company wanted to ensure that those who need to use the internet for various purposes at night and during the weekends can do so with just a fraction of what it would have normally cost them.
“We have observed a growing need for data among Ghanaian telecom consumers, but we have always been mindful of the cost to subscribers. This was why we designed these two offers for those people who normally surf the web or use the social media at night or during the weekend,” he explained.
He said Glo Mobile Ghana would continue to innovate with products and offers that would make internet usage more pleasurable and less expensive for Ghanaians.
