The passport office has begun issuing biometric passports to Hajj applicants in the various regions.The passport office dispatched a mobile team to the regions to facilitate capturing of data for fast processing.So far 600 people have applied for the passport in the three northern regions and some applicants are said to have received their passports over the weekend.Director of Operations Alhaji Ahmed Sorogo told Joy News he is confident all applicants will be issued with passports before next month when the pilgrims set off for Mecca.The mobile team is currently in the Ashanti region.Source: Joy Business/Ghana
