Three new District Chief Executives have been appointed for Wa West in the Upper West District, Ada West in the Greater Accra and Kintampo South District in the Bono Ahafo Region.
The appointments were made by President John Mahama in accordance with article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and section 20(1) of the Local Government Act, (Act 462).
Basiera Saankara was appointed for Wa West, George Foahteye Agat Matey-Teye, Ada West and James Bakalatob, Kintampo for South District.
A statement signed by the Minister for Local Government and Rural Development requests the regional ministers of the respective regions to facilitate the process of confirmation of the nominees.
The nominees will have to secure two-thirds of their respective assembly members vote to be sworn into office.
