Tributes have been pouring in for the late Alhaji Adam Iddrissu who is one of Ghana's leading entrepreneurs.
The industrialist and business mogul, 83, passed on Wednesday after dawn (Fajr) prayer.
In line with Islamic traditions, his burial rites were performed on the same day.
Mr Iddrissu has founded a lot of businesses in the country. His investments are in areas like banking and finances, real estate, agriculture, construction, transportation and insurance.

Some companies noted among Alhaji Iddrissu’s businesses are Global Haulage Limited, Imperial General Insurance, Isudam Construction, Cocoa Merchant, Royal Bank, Federated Commodities, Trans Royal Ltd, Royal Commodities and Global Automobile Limited.
Chief Executive Officer of Savings and Loans First Trust, Kwame Poku says the Business community will miss him.
Mr Poku managed Alhaji Iddrissu's account, at the then Merchant Bank for more than 20 years.
He said Alhaji Iddrissu’s played a significant role in the commodity and haulage businesses.
“He is sorely going to be missed but I believe that he’s put in place systems that can work and carry on even after his is gone,” Mr Poku said.
A sad Mr Poku prays Alhaji Iddrissu’s businesses continue to grow, adding “we will miss his quite influential personality which is a moving force in the economy.”
