The Youth Wing of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) says it will be embarking on a dialogue series with the youth of Ghana ahead of the December polls.

The series dubbed “Enough is Enough, Arise Ghana Youth Lead the Change” is aimed at providing an opportunity for the leadership of the NPP Youth Wing to interact with the youth across the country.

Speaking to Joy News at the maiden forum in Agbogbloshie, a suburb of Accra, National Youth Organiser, Sammy Awuku explained their motivation for the initiative.

He said they were compelled to because most of the youth in the are “disillusioned, disoriented, disenchanted and dispirited” with worsening living standards of their dependents.

This, he believes requires urgent response or injection of hope before matters get worse in the country.

“We strongly believe that there should be a paradigm shift and this can be realised when we have change administration,” he said, adding, the country needs a leader who will listen to the “plight of the people.”

As the world prepares to mark the International Youth Day on Friday, Mr Awuku says they want to use the opportunity to kickstart conversations about the future of the Ghana.

Ghanaian youth need hope and someone must initiate that discussion, he added.
