The Ministry of the Interior on Wednesday reminded the public that December 25, December 26, 2010 and January 1, 2011 are statutory public holidays and should be observed as such throughout the country.
A statement signed in Accra by Mr Martin Amidu, Minister of the Interior, said because December 25, December 26 and January 1, 2011 fall on weekends, President John Evans Atta Mills has by Executive Instrument declared Monday, December 27, Tuesday, December 28, 2010 and Monday January 3, 2011 as public holidays and they should be observed as such throughout the country.
