The driver of Professor Akumfi Ameyaw, MP for Techiman North Constituency has been attacked by some four unidentified men in the Bonya village near Tuobodom.
The driver is said to have been waiting for Professor Akumfi to return to the spot he had left him.
Prof. Akumfi told Joy News he had left his driver to attend a meeting with the queen mother of the area.
He said while in the meeting, the unknown assailants approached the driver and insisted he [the driver] tells them who was meeting with the Queen Mother but the driver refused advising the four young men to go find out for themselves.
The attackers, according to Prof. Akumfi, instructed the driver to lead them to the Queeen Mother’s residence but once again he refused.
The stubbornness of the driver apparently infuriated the four who subjected him to severe beatings.
He however managed to escape.
