A 15-year-old girl was allegedly defiled and abandoned on the corridors of the Tema Anglican Pre-School at Tema New Town last Sunday morning.
The victim, believed to be mentally ill, said she was given a bottle of Guinness by a stranger after which he defiled her.
An eyewitness told Joy News, he saw the girl lying in a pool of blood.
He alleged a police officer appeared an hour later to claim ownership of a pair of slippers abandoned at the scene.
The eye witness claims he effected a citizen’s arrest of the police officer.
The victim’s grandmother who was later informed of the girl’s ordeal told Joy News she is worried because the perpetrators have not yet been traced.
Residents in the area say they heard cries for help at the dawn of the incident but did not respond because the area was dark.
The Tema Regional Police Commander, ACP Augustine Gyenin said the matter is under investigation.
