Thieves broke into the vehicle of National Democratic Congress Deputy General Secretary, Kofi Adams Tuesday evening at Kanda in Accra and made away with a laptop, two mobile phones and an amount of GHS4,500.
The thieves smashed the back passenger glass of the locked vehicle while he parked to purchase food at about 7pm from a popular spot at Kanda.
He has since reported the theft to the Nima Police.
A private security man who claimed a white saloon car had sped off from the spot as Mr. Adams returned from the spot suspects its occupants were responsible for the crime.
Kofi Adams, also a spokesman for former President Jerry Rawlings, in an interview with Myjoyonline.com said he had barely spent 20 minutes at the popular spot only to return to the unfortunate break-in.
