Mr Moses Asaga, the Member of Parliament for Nabdam, has been honoured by the chiefs and people of the Sekoti Traditional Area for his hard work and dedication that has brought development to the area.
He was decorated with a white smock and a matching hat by Naba Sigri Bewong, the Paramount Chief of the area, who read a citation during a durbar to mark the "Tenglebgre" festival of the chiefs and people of Sekoti.
Naba Sigri Bewong said the MP brought several development projects in health, education and water to the area.
Mrs. Vivian Anafo, the District Chief Executive, said the MP on his own had provided the Kongo and Gorik community with a 3-unit classroom block.
He had also rehabilitated the Zanlerigu Zlinic and nurses' quarters at Nangodi, connected them to electricity together with the Zanlerigu Primary and Junior High Schools.
She said three boreholes had been inaugurated for the people of Soliga,Tankpaa, Nyogbaare, Kongo and Pitanga communities under the MP's initiatives and 10-unit market stores are being constructed in Nangodi.
Mr Asaga full of gratitude for the gesture and promised to work harder to bring more development to the area.
