Police contingents have been deployed in the northern town of Buipe to restore order following an attack on a sub-chief.
The chief, Dakpanwura Mumuni and his son were attacked by a mob protesting a court ruling yesterday on the Buipe Chieftaincy dispute.
That ruling was made yesterday in favour of the Jinapor family.
District Police Commander, ASP Owusu Antwi said the victims of the attacks have deep wounds on their heads.
He said the attack was perpetrated by persons against the court ruling. The police are however yet to effect any arrest.
The victims he said have been escorted to the hospital for treatment. Officers have meanwhile been deployed to the area to ensure peace.
