Robert Adongo and two others, now on the run, robbed some students of Kenyase Senior High School (SHS) and a businessman of their cell phones and cash, about two years ago.
He pleaded not guilty to the offence.
Police Chief Inspector Archibald Kwesi Fandoh told the court, presided over by Mr Justice Emmanuel Amoh-Yartey that, two of the complainants, Kwadwo Amponsah and Kwame Afriyie, are students of the Kenyase (SHS) and the other person, Alhaji Moro Haruna, a businessman.
The students stay in a hostel and on May 11, at about 03:00 hours, Adongo and two others attacked them and at gun point seized their cell phones and an unspecified amount of money.
The convict and his gang also raided the house of Alhaji Haruna and took away a cash amount of GH¢1,500.00 and a cell phone.
The prosecution said a report was made to the police by the school authorities and investigations led to the arrest of Adongo.
