Despite being in prison, Prophet Nana Yaw Yirenkyi can heave a huge sigh of relief with the conviction that he will definitely return home to meet his ever-faithful wife waiting patiently for him.
This is because his wife has publicly told Ghanaians that no matter how long her sweetheart remained in jail, she would not allow any man to take his place in her life as she respected her matrimonial vow.
The wife of the jailed pastor has given the assurance that she would continue to support and wait patiently for the release of her dear husband.
Mrs. Akosua Agyeiwaa Yirenkyi, wife of Jesus One Touch, said, “I will wait for my husband even if he was sentenced for 30 years.” Since she was sure her husband was innocent, Agyeiwaa said she would never betray him at this challenging moment in their life.
Prophet Yirenkyi, Founder and General Overseer of Jesus Blood Prophetic Ministry, was jailed 10 years on Thursday for defilement and incest.
In an interview with Kwabena Prah Jnr of Boss FM, Mrs. Yirenkyi said her husband was a mere victim of circumstances.
“I know my husband and I know he could not do such a thing so I will continue to support him in these challenging times.”
Mrs. Yirenkyi likened her husband’s predicament to that of the Biblical Job who suffered so much but was later vindicated.
She said she had overcome the shock that she went through following the pronouncement of her husband’s jail term.
She said she was not frightened by the sentence handed her husband.
About the young girl whose allegation resulted in her husband’s imprisonment, Agyeiwaa said “that girl behaves strangely at times.”
According to Mrs. Yirenkyi, the little girl some time ago confessed to her that she was a witch.
The girl, who is her step-daughter, once told her step-mum that she and her grandmother, also an alleged a witch, tried attacking her (Mrs. Yirenkyi) one night but they could not.
She said the little girl was also fond of describing herself as a queen in the spiritual world to her peers.
Mrs. Yirenyki claimed that she and her husband were trying to exorcise the girl’s witchcraft when the allegation of defilement and incest cropped up from nowhere.
