Demonstrations are underway in Accra and Kumasi Wednesday, organized respectively by the Alliance For Accountable Government (AFAG) and the Movement for Better Ghana.
Demonstrators in the AFAG march are protesting harsh economic conditions and are calling on the government to take steps to ameliorate the suffering of the masses. Dubbed 'AHOKYERE' Demonstration, organisers are asking for the immediate reduction of fuel prices.
From Kumasi, Luv FM’s Elton John Brobbey says demonstrators want President John Evans Atta Mills to institute a probe into the management of the Tema Oil Refinery debt recovery levy and to bring persons suspected to have mismanaged the fund to book.
Details of the two demonstrations will be up shortly.
