Anthony Yeboah's long standing Bundesliga record for the most goals scored by an African player could be eclipsed by Senegal's Papiss Demba Cisse on Sunday.
The Freiburg striker will take his season's tally to 21 if he scores against Borrusia Dortmund on Sunday and eclipse Yeboah's tally of 20 set in the 1993/94 season during his time with Eintracht Frankfurt.
He is also eyeing the top scorer's award in Germany which Yeboah shared with other strikers twice.
Cisse says he is delighted that he is now tied with Yeboah for the most goals scored by an African but wants more.
"I didn't know I had equalled Yeboah's record and was only told on the evening of the match," Cisse told BBC blogger Piers Edwards.
"I was very happy but with five matches left, I still want to achieve more."
