Asante Kotoko midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei has thrown in the towel by admitting his side cannot overhaul runaway league champions Berekum Chelsea.
The Porcupine Warriors lie 12 points behind Chelsea in second place with five matches remaining.
Victory for Chelsea in their next league match at King Faisal on Monday will seal their first league title.
“Let face it but it will be difficult for us to win the league. We can only hope they slip and then we can take advantage of that,” Adjei said
“We’re seriously looking at the second spot because the points difference between us is huge with fewer matches left in the league. This is not where we belong but that’s football.”
