A partial eclipse of the sun is expected across the country Sunday afternoon between 3:30 and 5:30 pm.
Astrologers have described this eclipse as a sign of good luck. However it could be dangerous watching this eclipse with the naked eye because it may lead to blindness.
A press release issued by the International Foundation for Technological Advancement and Development says individuals who may want to view it need certified solar eclipse sunglasses.
Akwesi Amofa is Executive Director of the International Foundation for Technological Advancement and Development.
"Since 2006 we have been experiencing eclipse. This is the partial solar eclipse called eclipse of the sun. We are advising that the general public must watch it but watch it safely.
"Know that you cannot use your naked eye or normal sunglasses or any other implements that is not certified to watch it.
"You are advised to get certified sunglasses or solar eclipse sunglasses to watch it," he said.
A solar eclipse is a type of eclipse that occurs when the moon passes between the Sun and Earth, and the moon fully or partially blocks the Sun. This can happen only at new moon when the Sun and the Moon are in conjunction as seen from Earth.
