Volunteers are gradually trooping into the premises of Joy FM in their numbers to donate blood at this year’s Joy FM’s blood donation campaign to help stock the national blood bank.According to Mr Samuel Nunoo, blood donor organizer of the National Blood Transfusion Service, they are expecting about 300 people to donate blood by the close of the day.A little over 100 persons have donated blood as at Saturday noon.Mr Nunoo told Myjoyonline.com that the number has not been that encouraging due to lack of education, motivation and fear expressed by potential donors. He said education is key, noting that efforts are being made to step education and whip up peoples’ interest to donate blood and save life.He encouraged the public to see the exercise as their civic responsibility and donate blood at least once every year.
