A hotel has unveiled a bizarre new room where everything is made from wool - even the full English breakfast.Kate Jenkins, 40, spent a month and 5kg of wool filling the single en-suite room at the Pelirocco in Brighton. With the help of two assistants, she created a knitted vase of flowers, curtains and a bedspread made of 100 different colours. The telephone, lampshade, teapot and cup are covered in crochet, while there are prints of knitted artwork and the wallpaper is made from photographs of knitting.Only the bathroom has not been touched because of the risk of condensation - but she did manage to knit a tube of toothpaste. The room costs £55 per night in the week and £69 at the weekend and will be available for the next three years.Ms Jenkins said: "The only things not covered are the bed frame and rocking chair. I wanted it to look tasteful, not twee."The designer owns a business called Cardigan, which designs knitwear for fashion labels such as Marc Jacobs and also produces knitted art.She added: "Some people say that knitting is for grannies but, to me, it's always been stylish".Pelirocco general manager Mark Gibson said: "We're all very excited about the launch of the room. Kate is an excellent artist and has impressed with many exhibitions in the city."
