After six years of living up to expectations as the single biggest outdoor event in the Garden City, the 2011 edition of Luv Fm’s Skuuls Reunion is moving from its traditional grounds to a much spacious avenue.
The Bara Yara Sports Stadium will set the platform for old school folks from across the country to compete in various sporting and entertaining activities that evoke exciting memories of their school days.
The reunion has in years past offered a unique opportunity for old students to meet long lost friends, socialize and network at the Ridge Park in Denyame.
Organizers however say this year’s event require a bigger space to contain the teeming number of patrons.
Already, preparations for the northern sector edition of the Reunion are gathering momentum in the studios of Luv Fm as old school folks in Ashanti and beyond reminisce.
Over 80 old school associations are expected to take part in the 7th edition of the annual programme on Saturday, November 26, 2011.
Folks of registered schools are already talking big ahead of the D-day and surely, there cannot be a skuuls reunion without the show of prowess in chanting the gyama antics.
The cheer song has become a major characteristic of the event, and the old school associations have been churning out their very best of scintillating sounds in the studios.
The stage is getting well set at the Baba Yara Stadium with sporting excitement, whilst top musical artistes will thrill patrons with Azonto performances.
Check out the Oldies Corner which always bubbles with tunes from the live band music to keep the true oldies in the old skuul mood.
