A relative of JB Danquah and a member of the New Patriotic Party Nana Fredua Agyemang Ofori-Atta has denied ever admitting Nkrumah founded Ghana.
On Ghana Connect Programme last Friday Nana Fredua said: “We are not arguing about whether Nkrumah was THE founder. At least I am not. I am not. I am settled that he is the founding president of this country. I am settled he was a founder of this country and the leader of government business.”
Myjoyonline.com did a story on the discussion with the headline “Relative of JB admits Nkrumah founded Ghana.”
However, Nana Fredua has denied ever admitting that Nkrumah is THE founder. In a rebuttal to the story, he says Nkrumah is A founder and not THE founder as reported by the website.
Attached is the excerpts of the relevant portion of the audio of the discussion.
