The Executive Director of the Ghana Free Zones Board (GFZB), Kwadwo Twum Boafo, has threatened to sue the Communications Director NPP’s, Nana Akomea, for alleging that he once pulled a gun on his father. Kwadwo Twum Boafo asked Nana Akomea to produce the gun in question which he (Akomea) is alleging it was pulled on his father after his father had accused him of having an affair with his step-mother. The GFZB boss stated that his decision to go to court will end the unsubstantiated speculations about public officers. Nana Akomea had alleged on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem on Tuesday that Kwadwo Twum Boafo was reported to have had sexual relations with his step-mother in the 1990’s which resulted in an argument between him and his father. Nana Akomea claimed that Kwadwo Twum Boafo then pulled a gun on the father and a report was made to the police, alleging that he could produce the police report to back his claim. However, the biological mother of Kwadwo Twum Boafo, Madam Victoria Twum Boafo who also spoke on phone, denied that her son ever pulled a gun on his father. Madam Boafo told Adakabre Frimpong Manso, host of the programe, that the allegation by Nana Akomea was not the first time she was hearing that her son had pulled a gun on his father. She said only irresponsible people will make such allegations. She declared her support for her son’s intended suit against Nana Akomea. The NPP Communications Director said he was ready to meet Kwadwo Twum Boafo in court. He said the Free Zones Board Executive Director had also been making wild allegations about the NPP Presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo that he was a ‘wee’ smoker without any evidence.
