Scotsman Frank Nuttall took charge of Hearts of Oak's pre-season training a day after returning from his native where he was on holidays. 

There had been speculations surrounding his future after delaying his return to Ghana. 

He was supposed to be back in the country before Hearts commence pre-season but his delay forced management to instruct assistant manager Henry Wellington to train the players.

But he finally showed up on Tuesday night and the next day Nuttall was at the team's training ground at Legon. 

The training on Wednesday was based mostly on physical drills but the team did some ball work at the tail end.

After the session, Nuttall responded to a couple of issues including the potential exit of some key players.

Hearts of Oak are on the verge of losing four players, who played an integral role in their title pursuit and reaching the final of MTN FA Cup for the first time in a decade. 

Players including club captain Thomas Abbey, defender Vincent Atingah and Kwame Kizito have all failed to agree with the Rainbow club to sign new contracts,  putting their availability for next season’s campaign in doubt. 

According to Nuttall, he is not worried if Hearts loses the services of the players, claiming clubs interested in signing his players shows a level of improvement under his watch. 

“I think we are a victim of our own success and this is a sign of success. It is positive that clubs outside are interested in our players,” Nuttall said. 

“I don’t have a problem with it and we have to respect that the players are professionals who are looking for the best interest of themselves and their families. I can only wish them well.”
