Hearts of Oak 0-2 Medeama – Cape Coast
The Mauves, who had scored six times in their last game against Dwarfs, didn’t find any difficulty in breaching the Hearts defence with Kwame Boateng netting the opener on 14 minutes.
Boateng applied the finishing touch to a brilliant low cross from Agyei to increase his tally in the competition to three goals.
Six minutes later, Agyenim Boateng capitalized on a defensive blunder from Richard Akrofi to double the lead for the Mauves-and-Yellow.
The closest Hearts came to scoring was in the early stages of the first half when Cosmos Dauda's powerful header struck the bar.
The victory seals a semi-final spot for Medeama while Hearts need a win in their final group game against Dwarfs to progress.
Asante Kotoko 0-1 Dreams FC – Baba Yara Stadium
New signing Federick Boateng missed a penalty as kotoko slumped to a defeat against newly promoted Ghana Premier League boys Dreams FC.
The former Inter Allies striker saw his spot-kick saved as goalkeeper Ishawu Yahaya stayed put in the middle of his goal, reading perfectly Boateng's intentions.
Richard Addai scored the only for Dreams on the stroke of halftime.
The win revives Dreams chances of advancing to next stage of the competition as they now have the same points as Kotoko who won their first game.
