Ebusua Dwarfs coach Bashir Hayford has given a trademark sarcastic response to fans calling for his head after just two friendly matches.
Under his guidance, Dwarfs have conceded 10 goals in their first two games and after yesterday’s 4-0 defeat at the hands of Ghana Premier League new boys Karela United, he was told some ‘’fans are calling for his head’’.
And that did not go down well with the former Asante Kotoko gaffer who sarcastically answered; ‘’…so if they are calling for my head, then I will give them my whole body.''
Hayford added that he is still locked in negotiations with Ebusua Dwarfs and that his appointment as coach has not been confirmed yet.
However, he opted to start working because he is confident of getting the job on a permanent basis.
''I understand that the regular players are only three, and the rest are here for justifiers.
''The team is rebuilding, I opted to come and observe – those who weren’t regular last season are those playing now.
''I want to tell the supporters that my head is there for them.''
The Cape Coast-based side are taking part in the ongoing Ghalca G8 and have conceded 10 goals in two matches.
They shipped in six goals in their opening game as they lost 6-5 to Medeama despite being three goals up at halftime.
Before, Thursday, Karela United humiliated them 4-0 at the Cape Coast stadium.
Dwarfs next game in the competition is against Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
