The Inspector General of Police, David Asante Apeatu, has confirmed DCOP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah as the substantive Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
DCOP Addo-Danquah had been the Acting Director-General of the Department prior to her elevation.
Similarly, the Acting Director General/ICT, DCOP/Mr Anthony Tennyson Aidoo has also been confirmed as the substantive Director-General.
A statement titled ‘confirmation’ issued on Wednesday, 24 January and signed by the IGP Mr Apeatu said: “DCOP/Mr Anthony Tennyson Aidoo Ag Director General/ICT Is hereby confirmed Director General ICT. DCOP/Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, Ag Director-General CID is hereby confirmed Director-General /CID.”
Tiwaa Addo-Danquah was recently at the centre of an alleged doctored tape saga involving musician A Plus.
