The Vice Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Friday visited the Malata Market in Accra to assess the conditions of traders and market women. The running mate of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, promised to improve the living conditions of the market women should they vote the NPP back to power.Visiting the same market that President Mills recently bought kenkey to prove falsehood in claims that kenkey price had shot up, Dr. Bawumia reiterated Nana Addo’s pledge of free secondary school education, job creation and massive infrastructural development.According to Dr. Bawumia, what was supposed to be a better Ghana, had become a “harder Ghana” where living conditions are going up every day.The running mate said an Akufo-Addo government will be an all-inclusive government where living conditions of the populace would be improved considerably. The Vice Presidential candidate will on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, deliver the 2012 Ferdinand Ofori Ayim Memorial Lectures on the topic “The State of the Economy”.The lecture will take place at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Independence Avenue, Accra.
