The ex-Ghanaian international said that the Baffour is leading the goal scoring chart because he is being aided by officiating officials.
This attracted a lot of criticisms from officials of New Edubiase and some soccer pundits.
Speaking to Asempa Sports morning show host Moses Antwi Benefo on Wednesday, Tony Yeboah accepted that his comments were unfounded and readily apologized to Emmanuel Baffour and added that he didn't mean to discourage the player but rather encourage him.
He went ahead to use his own playing career as an example when it was said he will not succeed in the English Premiership when he moved there from the German Bundesliga but he said that motivated him to excel at Leeds United.
The President of New Edubiase, Abdulsalem Yakubu said they have accepted the apology from Anthony Yeboah and said they will talk to the player to put the incident behind him and focus on his career.
Emmanuel Baffour said he has put the incident behind him and he is working hard to set a new premier league goal scoring record.
Baffour has scored 21 goals so far in the league and is hoping to beat Ishmael Addo's 22 goal record.
