Ebusua Dwarfs have expressed satisfaction at the Ghana Football Association’s decision on reducing a 12 home match ban to 8 and a fine of 20,000 Ghana cedis to 13,350 Ghana cedis.
The Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association today slashed the number of home-match bans and a fine handed out to Dwarfs for a charge of violent conduct in April.
An initial 12 home-match has been reduced to 8 and the club will pay 13,350 Ghana cedis instead of 20,000 Ghana cedis.
Dwarfs incurred the wrath of the Football Association after their fans attacked and severely beat up a referee and his two assistants during a premier league game against Aduana Stars at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape-Coast.
There were also damages to properties. Dwarfs have already served three matches by playing on a neutral ground since the incident occurred in April.
John Ansah who is an assistant to the Chief Executive Officer of Dwarfs in an interview with JOY Sports noted that, they are yet to officially respond to appeal committee’s verdict.
“We have some few days to respond to this issue but for now we are concentrating on the matches left in the premier league”.
“We will still consider other options and if it becomes positive then we will react to it but if not then we will leave it”.
