The Wa East constituency executives of the National Democratic Congress are urging the party leadership and government to be circumspect in their utterances when responding to attacks from the Rawlingses.
Addressing a news conference in Wa, Constituency Secretary, Munawar Issahaku warned any negative comment will aggravate the severed relations between the founder and the Presidency and make it difficult for any mediation process.
Joy News’ Upper West Region correspondent Rafik Salam reported the conference was to bring to the fore the unprecedented developments in the region and more importantly the urgent need to unite.
It was also to correct what the constituency say were inaccuracies in Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s lecture on the economy.
Issahaku said it is time for the former first lady to address her frustrations in matured way.
“First and foremost we have to call on the former first lady to exercise restraint herself because it is when you handle your frustrations well that you can be seen as matured,’he said.
He said like the Mrs Rawlings all other members of the party are going through one frustration or the other but said all must be careful in their utterances especially those in government.
Munawar Issahaku said Bawumia’s analysis on inflation and cost of living is misleading, adding the cost of can better be analysed by the wage levels.
