Two Fulani herdsmen suspected to be armed robbers have been lynched at Yagbon at in the Central Gonja district of the northern region.
The herdsmen were accused of attacking residents, stealing motorbikes and other belongings.
Assemblyman for the area Omar Ayuba told Joy News residents were informed about the attack and they quickly organized and mounted a road block on the Yagbon road.
“After an hour time, two of the Fulani men were seen riding a motorbike. The people quickly surrounded them; grabbed them at the Yagbon area," he narrated.
The two armed robbers were killed, he confirmed. Three other nomads escaped.
Omar Ayuba said said the police are investigating the matter.
