Junior doctors at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital have petitioned hospital authorities to step up security within the hospital’s enclave following the bizarre death of their colleague.
Twenty-seven-year old Desmond Kabbah was found naked on his bed with stab wounds, and bits of the skin on his leg peeled.
Hospital authorities say they are working closely with police to unravel the mysterious death of the junior doctor.
However, the doctors say they are yet to feel the intensification in security and have presented a petition to the administration this morning.
Dr Vincent Ganu, who speaks for the junior doctors, told Joy News they were promised improved security conditions within 24-hours but are yet to realize that.
The doctors are demanding a 24 hour patrol by security personnel and improved lighting at the house officers’ flats, among others.
