Black Stars midfielder Derek Boateng has called on his colleagues not to underrate Lesotho in their 2014 World Cup qualifier game at the Baba Yara sports stadium on Friday.
The Ukraine based player is optimistic they can continue their successive run to the World Cup by appearing at the finals in Brazil 2014, should they guard against complacency and work hard to win against Lesotho.
“We are determined to win the game to boost our confidence ahead of the other matches”. He told JOY Sports
“Lesotho will come really tough but what we need to do is not to underrate them and given our best on the day”.
The Black Stars as part of their preparation played two trail matches at the Baba Yara sports stadium in Kumasi on Tuesday. They beat State Envoys 3-0 in the first game and also handed Asokwa Deportivo 4-0 in the second game.
