The Kadehene, Osabarimah Atinadu Agyare II, has given-up his earlier threat to take action against the editor and publishers of the “True Statesman” newspaper for publishing what he described as falsehood about him.
The newspaper published an article in its Tuesday edition which had the photograph of a chief fully dressed in NPP colours in a pose with the Party’s flagbearer during his tour of the Eastern region.
The paper described the said chief as the Kadehene and raised concerns over chiefs getting actively involved in politics.
Editor of the paper however apologized for the slip-up claiming that the chief in question is rather the Abodamhene and not the Kadehene.
Osabarimah Atinadu Agyare II said on Adom Fm’s Dwaso Nsem on Wednesday that even though he accepts the apology by the paper and withdraws any threats to take the paper and its management on, he could not tell if any member in the royal family has plans of suing the paper.
He disclosed that he and the Editor of the True Statesman Mr. Dela Coffie have been on good terms ever since the publication came up.
