Police in Accra have begun investigations into the death of a forty-seven year old man found hanging from a tree at the Achimota Golf Course.
A voters’ ID found on him identified him as Toss Mensah. There is still no information as to the motive and if indeed it was suicide.
Public Relations Officer of the Accra Region, DSP Freeman Tettey however tells Joy News they are treating it as suicide.
The basis of police’s suspicion is the fact there was a noose in the neck of the deceased and tied to a tree branch.
He is hopeful that the deceased’s family will provide the police with information that will help determining the actual cause of death.
