With a high scoring win in their opening 2014 World Cup qualifying secured, many expect Ghana to have revenge on their minds ahead of next weekend's date with African champions, Zambia.Zambia, against the run of play, beat Ghana in the semi-finals of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in January. But level-headed midfielder, Derek Boateng says the Black Stars must not look to settle old scores in the Ndola against the Chipolopolo. The Black Stars strolled to a 7-0 home win against Lesotho to top of the standings.Black Stars captain Sulley Muntari started the rout after 15 minutes and there were braces for Dominic Adiyiah and fellow striker Jordan Ayew before debutants Christian Atsu and defender Jeremiah Akaminko also scored. However, Boateng says Ghana will have to forget about the past.“We are going to do our best. We were not lucky at the African Cup of Nations," Boateng said.Rather, the midfielder is calling for cool heads and believes that any talk of revenge should never be the clarion call going into any game.“There is no revenge in football. We don’t take anything as revenge. We are going there to play our game and be in a good position and win the game.“That is the most important thing for us so we can qualify for the World Cup,” Ghana midfielder, Boatend added.Only one team from the four nation group will progress to the third round. After putting in a good performance in midfield for Ghana against Lesotho, Boateng says he is thrilled to always represent the nation.“I am very, very happy. I am always glad to play for my country. It is such an honour for me to be wearing the Black Stars shirt in front of Ghanaians. I want to be there for the nation, colleagues and my family.“I want to prove something and help myself.”
