Two more people have been confirmed dead following ethnic conflict in Nankpanduri in the Northern Region.
This increases to three the number of casualties recorded in the clashes between the Kokombas and Bemobas in the Northern Region.
Six people have been injured severely. The clashes were sparked by a land dispute.
A team of police and military personnel are on the ground to ensure there is order and to prevent a recurrence of violence.
Residents were caught in crossfire between warring ethnic factions and police and military team.
But Deputy Northern Regional Minister, Asabigi Naasamu told Joy News calm has returned to the area.
He said the security will be present a while longer until they are convinced there will be no reprisal attacks.
Naasamu also stated the official number of houses destroyed so far is 60 but added the National Disaster Management Organisation is on the ground and will provide furthers details.
