The National Road Safety Commission (NRSC) has rated women and children as the worst motor traffic offenders in the Northern region.Northern Regional Director of NRSC, Alex Ayattah revealed that most women don’t wear helmets due to the discomfort it creates for them.Joy News spoke to some women motorists who explained that they don’t like the heat the helmet creates and the fact that it disfigures their hair styles.Others added that some hair styles are very expensive and they therefore need to show it off rather than cover it with helmets. The respondents unanimously, however, accepted that their hair styles are worthless in times of accidents. The NRSC is therefore asking the women to safeguard their lives with helmets rather than caring about their hairstyles which is meaningless in the face of accidents.
