One in four young blokes would rather watch England on telly in the Euros than have sex with their partner.
But men clearly get randier with age — because only one in ten of those aged 55 and over would rate watching footy on the box over a bonk, compared to a quarter of 16 to 24-year-olds.
Women will be further riled to know that one in six men reckon watching England win on TV would make them more emotional than the birth of their first child, the survey for Comet found.
A further ten per cent are so passionate about footy that Roy Hodgson’s team winning will mean more to them than their wedding day.
Sports psychologist Martin Perry said: “This really highlights the passion that men can feel towards the beautiful game.
“For many, the feelings they experience when watching a pivotal match can even overshadow the emotion they feel on some of the biggest occasions in their lives, including even the birth of their first child.”
Bob Darke, boss of Comet — who surveyed 1,500 men — said: “We were completely surprised at even a small number of British footie fans admitting to feeling more emotional about watching their team win than they did about key events in their life like having a baby - 15 per cent of the male population is quite a shock.”
