The presidential candidate of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Dr. Abu Sakara has embarked on a tour of some communities in the Greater Accra Region to engage residents on what he plans to do should he be elected the next President of Ghana.
The tour comes within days of the launch of their manifesto which is dubbed “CPP’s S-cube Programme to Get Ghana Working Again”, aimed at ensuring a coherent approach to the management of the socio-economic policies of Ghana.
According to Dr. Abu Sakara who spoke to Joy News, the CPP’s agenda is to serve the communities hence the tour is to afford them the opportunity to interact with residents and gain first-hand information on what their problems are and what solutions will be used in addressing them.
He mentioned that so far, his interactions with residents indicate that the unemployment rate is a huge concern and there is the need for more meaningful jobs to be created to mitigate this problem.
According to him, being a political party that has the interest of the youth at heart, a CPP government will be in the best position to create meaningful jobs that can meet the cost of living of the unemployed youth.
