The Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Abdul Malik Kweku Baako says the ruling National Democratic Congress is at its wit end in unraveling the judgement debt brouhaha which has rocked the country.According to Kweku Baako, the latest twist in the judgment debts scandals as put out by the Information Ministry at a press conference Monday addressed by Deputy Information Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa shows the effort of Government in trying to unravel the mystery surrounding the judgement debts are simply not working.Speaking at Peace FM’s Kokrokoo Wednesday morning, the Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide stated that the latest addition to the judgment debt scandals, the $1.3 million being demanded by Swiss company Great Cape could not have in anyway implicated Nana Akufo-Addo since he was only discharging his duty.According to Kweku Baako, at the press conference which according to the Deputy Information Minister was motivated by government’s principles of fairness, equity, transparency, which also aimed at a full disclosure with respect to judgment debts payment was selective of what they read from the Nana Akufo-Addo letter proposing the payment of the monies owed the Swiss company.Kweku Baako stated that the press conference deliberately turned a blind eye to the fact that man, for which Akufo-Addo was “fighting” the judgment debt claim, was Nat Tanoh, a brother of Gosie Tanoh a renowned NDC stalwart.According to Kweku Baako, the press conference did not only fail to substantiate any wrong doing against the NPP flag bearer but also revealed that he (Nana Addo) was not a vindictive person even when in opposition he believes in equity when he wrote a letter substantiating the claims Great Cape Company was making.Kweku Baako further maintained that nowhere has Nana Akufo-Addo stated that he would never pay judgment debt, saying that what Nana Akufo-Addo rather said was that the Woyome payment would not have happened under his watch.The Deputy Information Minister, James Agyenim Boateng however maintained that Nana Akufo-Addo said his presidency would never witness any judgment debt payment hence the latest revelation by the Information Ministry smacks of double standards on the part of the NPP flag bearer.He also chastised the NPP for making judgement debt synonymous to corruption.
