Deputy Roads Minister Anthony Karbo has been invited to the Criminal Investigations Department having been mentioned in undercover investigations into corruption.
The Lawra MP has been mentioned by Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kwesi Nyantakyi who himself is being investigated for conduct detailed in Anas Aremeyaw investigative documentary.
The GFA president is alleged to have been captured in a video telling investors he has the president in his pocket.
Kwesi Nyantakyi allegedly asked for $5m to create access to the president and some additional money to sort out some government appointees.
In the latest update in the drama, the GFA boss mentioned Anthony Karbo as one of those chief facilitators who can help make access to the presidency possible.
Mr Karbo is expected at the CID in the company of his lawyers next week. But the MP has denied any invitation by the police.
Some MPs say the CID invitation to the Lawra MP may have breached his privileges. The MPs have said the CID invitation without formal notice to the Speaker is an affront to the dignity of Parliament.
The Anas Aremeyaw investigative documentary is expected to be aired June 6 2018 in what has been billed as explosive.
Veteran journalist Kweku Baako seen as a godfather to Anas has said the video which is about corruption in sports and politics will end the careers of those implicated in the investigations.
GFA boss came under investigations after the President, Nana Akufo-Addo, was said to have been given a 5-minute viewing of the documentary.
The preliminary revelations has left Ghanaians eager to get a ticket to the public viewing in Accra.
