The New Patriotic Party is mobilizing its resources to facilitate the vetting of nominees in the 45 newly created constituencies on Tuesday.
Nominations officially closed yesterday and the party says it is impressed with the general response across the country.
The party delayed its primaries following its attempt to block the CI 78 creating the new constituencies from maturing.
But Parliament on Tuesday passed the CI into law after it rejected the report of the Committee on Subsidiary Legislation which identified several anomalies.
NPP’s Director of Research and Elections, Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah told Joy News the party is mobilizing its resources to facilitate the exercise.
Despite the huge interest that the newly created seats have attracted regarding the number of aspirants who have filed to contest the primaries, Mr. Korsah said the exercise does not bring any added work to the party.
He said everything was being done to make sure they stay within their timelines to enable the party hold primaries on the 14th of October, 2012.
